City level entities that act as extended arm of the Energy Swaraj Foundation motivating for taking climate corrective actions in their surrounding communities.
In creating a public movement towards localized energy generation and consumption for mitigating climate change, the foundation invites committed groups of individuals to establish a chapter of the Energy Swaraj Foundation in different geographies to join hands.
About Energy Swaraj Chapters
Energy Swaraj Chapters will act as the extended arm of the Energy Swaraj Foundation and act as a forum through which individuals can reach out to influence and engage their neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior.
Objective of Energy Swaraj Chapter
It is an invite to committed groups of individuals to start a chapter of the Energy Swaraj Foundation in different geographies to join hands keeping in mind following objective:
- Chapters operate under ESF’s philosophy, with full operational support for core activities.
- Chapters organize workshops and training on solar energy
- support new ESF programs when aligned with the foundation's goals
Establishing & Running a Chapter
To establish an Energy Swaraj Chapter, specific requirements must be met to ensure commitment to the climate cause and effective operations.
- A dedicated group of at least 5 members is required
- Must have organizational structure with roles like President, Vice President, Secretary, and Joint Secretary
- A physical meeting space, serving as the chapter's "home," with a chapter's name board
- Good understanding about climate emergencies
Requirements to Form an Energy Swaraj Chapter
Energy Swaraj Chapters require active commitment from volunteers and adherence to specific guidelines for effective participation.
- All chapter members must have ELT certificates
- At least 3 active contributors at all times
- Volunteers must dedicate a minimum of 5 hours per week to support the movement
- The chapter is led by a single volunteer, and a president is selected to collaborate with the central team

Launched in Kolkata, West Bengal for advancing sustainable practices and promoting renewable energy in the region of West Bengal.
Energy Swaraj Bhubaneswar Chapter
Established in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa for advancing sustainable practices and promoting renewable energy in the region of Orissa.
Energy Swaraj Andaman & Nicobar Chapter
Established in Andaman & Nicobar for advancing sustainable practices & promoting renewable energy in the region.

Through our ACC programs, participants emerge with a comprehensive understanding of where our energy comes from, how much we use, how much we waste, and the environmental impact of our energy choices. Most importantly, they are empowered with the tools to embrace sustainable practices and move towards carbon-neutral living.
Energy Swaraj Foundation is a not for profit organization and to support all the programs raises funds through various initiatives.
